My advice is stay away from this agent. They may seem nice and professional initially but as soon as you move out they don't want to know. I left the flat in a much better condition than i received it in and made sure everything was paid up. However, once i left Castle Estates tried to claim back £145 rent and £36 for a check out fee when it clearly stated £25 on my deposit. Every time i tried to contact them they were out of the office and my emails went unanswered. Thankfully i got my money back through the DPS adjudication service as i had kept all past emails and paperwork and were able to send of sufficient evidence. Castle Estates, to further point out they're poor business practices, lodged my deposit in twice with the DPS and when i refused to release the second one until the original deposit was returned to me they tried to bully and scare me into releasing it. It took me about seven months of countless emails and phone calls to get my money back and even then i only got it back because i had kept all my paperwork, so save yourself a lot of trouble and go with a reputable company.

Prior to signing the original tenancy agreement Castle estates appeared to be knowledgeable and helpful.
Once you have signed on the dotted line it all changes. The aftersales is appalling.

Absolutely diabolical service! Avoid at all costs. Agent simply refuse ro do routine maintainance on house and have lied consistently about agreeing to do work. No communication and completely ignore calls and never call back. Big promises, very little delivered! Would never rent through them
