I interviewed several estate agents in the area when I decided I was selling my flat. I asked a lot of questions of all agents seen and also asked to see their contracts and then went back with further questions.
My initial contacts at Alan Selby were Richard Harrison and James Bearryman. They won my business because not only did their contract seem the most straightforward, but they showed that they had thought carefully about the ideal price for my apartment and could back this up with sound reasoning. They were also more business minded rather than giving a hard sales pitch.
I got helpful feedback on presentation of the property prior to marketing & from each prospective viewer's visit. They organised the energy efficiency survey for me as well.
Within only 4 days of the apartment being advertised I had a firm offer which was close enough to my asking price to accept and it was from a buyer who they could confirm was sound. The sale was achieved by Jamie Williams and he then became my main point of contact.
The overall process to completion took a little longer to achieve than we had first predicted, but this was solely down to a complication further down the short chain. At all times I was kept informed of progress as Jamie spoke regularly to the estate agency selling my buyer's property and my buyer and relayed the information to me. As I had already moved to my new property Jamie was happy for me to leave keys with him to organise the transfer on completion day. They also took final meter readings for me as I had moved outside London.
When visiting their offices or telephoning, all staff I met at Alan Selby were helpful and friendly and I always knew messages had been passed on and got a call back. The service from Alan Selby was friendly, professional and accommodating. I would definitely use them again for any future sales.
