When I spoke to Sasha at your office she said that Thursday was the first available viewings for this property. Your staff need to be very clear and not lead prospective tenants on. Oct 07, 2013
Hi Brian,I am sorry to hear that you missed out on one of our properties earlier today.
I have reviewed the emails and was also present during the phonecall you placed to our office this afternoon.
Your initial viewing request was received by email on Saturday 5th October at 19:52hrs. Our office is closed over the weekend and so my colleague Sasha emailed you back this morning to start to arrange your viewing for you.
Unfortunately other prospective tenants had called about the property last week when the property was advertised and had booked in appointments today to view the property. Unfortunately it is incorrect to state that you were given the first available viewing, as I'm afraid that was booked last week for today, as my colleague did clearly explain to you. You can certainly place a holding deposit on one of our properties, but only having viewed the property first.
As your viewing was due to be on Thursday at 13:45 unfortunately it was always a possibility that those who contacted us earlier than you did would have taken the earlier available viewings.
Our direct office number is 01224 531970 and my best advice to you would be to call the office to request a viewing as this will enable us to respond to your request more quickly than via email, especially at peak times.

Myself and my flatmate made our issues extremely clear (living without water for over a fortnight is not something we would keep quiet about). Grant was our first point of contact hence why all of our issues went through him. I'm sure we explained at the time that we are not allowed to spend for this property without the landlord's written permission which can (and did) lead to delays, which we find just as frustrating as you... believe me I hate to read poor reviews of my business.

The customer service needs worked on greatly. All that I was looking for was an apology for wasting my time and improvements made on the advertisement. There was no remorse shown for the error by Contempo Lettings but instead a level of rudeness.Attached Filesnbsp;

The portal that I had initially found the advert on was LettingWeb and the portal that the member of staff had mentioned was Citylets so there should have been no problems with this. Either way, neither of the sites stated this information and it is an important detail to be mentioned. With the help of the SafeDeposit Scotland, I am able to get back almost every penny claimed by the Contempo Lettings, Aberdeen. I am got back the entire amount M/s Contempo Letting hd claimed for the breakage in the flat and towards cleaning of the flat. But ofcourse, I could not get back the extra days rent as I had already agreed to pay it to them. I believe, if I had not then I would have get back that too!! I am sorry to hear you were so disappointed with Contempo Lettings.
All our deposits are handled by Safe Deposit Scotland and the independent review of your check out report concluded that we were fully justified in the deductions we made to your deposit.
If you are unhappy with this ruling, then you can contact the Property Ombudsman of which we are members.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

When you called our office to seek clarification after the property was reserved by another viewer, Sasha confirmed verbally that earlier viewings had been secured by prospective tenants who had called the office the previous week, when the property was first advertised.
Again, I am sorry to hear that you missed out on a viewing, however I’d definitely recommend calling the office as soon as you receive notification of a property matching your criteria as this is how early viewings are more likely to be secured.
