If you are a Student do NOT let with Martin and Co. They don't care once they have your money, Took us over 3 weeks of asking to get a clip to hold the Shower head that perished away previously, Numerous complaints about a bed with no response, Terrible Customer Service. Fortunately we had a good Landlord. Its highly beneficial to get the Landlords number as they care about there tenants.
Its not just me complaining, This is on Behalf of our house I let with 3 other people, all of whom don't have a single good word to say about Martin and Co Huddersfield. A Friend at Uni also had no heating for over a month as Martin and CO Failed to get back to her numerous Phone calls and Emails. If we pay over 16k a year for a 3 story, 4 Bed narrow town house you Expect a good level of customer Service... Something that was not taken up by the Agents. Further more upon leaving there were a few lightbulbs blown due to the poor electrics of the house.... These were Quoted at £15 one off charge and £5 per Lightbulb to Replace.... Ludacris
What agent could do to change your mind?
Just learn standard Customer service and respect your tenants

Unfortunately there are once again inaccuracies with this account and a number of factors left out to the benefit of 'John Doe' (may I mention at this time Martin & Co have not had a tenant named John Doe).
As stated previously on reviews on All Agents, Martin & Co employ a full time property manager who's sole responsibility is responding to maintenance in a timely fashion and something that my colleague approaches with a great deal of care. In a number of scenarios our Landlord's wish to carry out repairs themselves, which was the case here. Martin & Co notified the landlord immediately and were requested not to take any further action. With regards to 'a friend at uni' I have no reason to believe this is true and is only aiming to exaggerate your claim that you suffered a lack of service.
With regards to 'poor electrics' I have to disagree also, the house is a new build property and in fantastic condition with the necessary checks completed. With regards to the costs of light bulbs Martin & Co provide a 'pre checkout' document to all tenants to provide them with information on what they need to do prior to check out and are advised of the costs of rectifying any issues. One of these items is to replace light bulbs and the price for Martin & Co to action this is clear. Failing to do so results in Martin & Co using a third party contractor to change the bulbs, I am sure anyone can see that these third parties do not work for free.
Furthermore it is worth noting that the house in question were responsible for throwing eggs at neighboring houses and causing general unsocial behavior.
It is my opinion that this review was written as a result of the tenants being frustrated at their deposit return. The deposit was registered and returned via the DPS.
My final point is that the tenant writing this review had been a tenant with Martin & Co previously, surely contradictory to the general tone of the email.
