Appalling service from day 1. Just disappointed we never thought to check reviews prior to doing 'business.'
We selected 4 apartments in MediaCity to view, we were only shown 2, 1 of which wasn't even on our list. The estate agent was late for meeting us and she had double booked so we waited around for 20 minutes before she showed us the apartments.
Apartments were great however the agent was inexperienced, guessing answers to our simple questions (eg 'what bills can we expect to pay' - 'gas and electric' 'oh...so we dont pay for water then i take it?' 'oh that too...') We decided to take the apartment there and then and about 3 weeks later we hadn't heard anything. They sent us around 1 email per week from then saying they needed a specific document in which we'd send it instantly. They took another week to tell us we needed to send a different one and we did rapidly, and so on. They then proceeded to ask for more copies of these documents (I assume they lost them) and some they even denied we even sent.
We were then told that the previous tenants wanted it back so they offered us the other one we went to view, only to be told to resend all documents... It turned out that one was unavailable after battling with horrendous communication through email with them so we were offered a different apartment. I assume they would have given us a different one after this if it wasn't for my and my roommate's mothers (guarantors) who called the manager and the manager of uktenantdata to threaten to complain giving countless reasons for terrible service. Under threat, they moved us in the day after, in which I believe should have happened without any involvement of guarantors, after all it's their job and they knew we wanted to move in asap as by the time we'd gone through all this we were starting university the following week. The move-in date was extended three times, but as for now we're just glad this nightmare is over.
Even though a review or two on here may be positive, I highly recommend you avoid lasalle at all costs, take it from someone who's put up with their dreadful service and as reviews show, we're certainly not the only ones. It may look like a property from heaven, but if we had to go through all this again, I'd prefer to have decent service at least and be living in a slum rather than living in a nice place with the service we've had. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.
