Its a shame people are allow to publish unsubstantiated untruths. Both the people that have called us cowboys have not I see given their proper names so I am unable to check the individual situations. All deposits are protected by us. The tenants signs a tenant deposit protection form at the same time as they sign the lease. Together with the Inventory etc. Most tenants tend to lose these documents/forget they exist which is why a copy is always kept in the office. When a tenant checks out, the condition of the property is checked against the Inventory. If anything requires attention the tenant is asked to fix it otherwise it is fixed by a workman and the cost taken from the deposit. Tenants are supposed to pay rent on or before the rent due date. The rent is then paid to the landlord within 24 hours. If either of the people who have commented on this site wish to confirm whom they are I will find the records and make the appropriate response. I can assure any tenant we that we always try and do the best for both them and our clients the Landlord. If a deposit of £1000 was withheld by us the property must have been left in a disgusting state and or their would have at that time been unpaid rent.
