I have rented a studio at this address since October 2012. The agent liaising me with the landlord has since been Mr. Moyes. In his approach, Mr. Moyes has always been very kind and sympathetic. When I first viewed this property, I told him that I neededto take my furniture with me. So, he kindly asked the landlord to remove the furniture provided, and this was crucial, for I would have not been able to move in, otherwise!
After one year (my tenancy here entails a 12 months contract), I find myself in a position whereby I am considering buying my own place and am in need of some flexibility on the part of the landlord. So, in order to avoid having to sign another twelve months contract, I mention this necessity to Mr. Moyes, asking whether he could forward my request to the landlord. Again, he was very sympathetic and understanding, and has agreed to do that for me.
My experience with Paramount Agency is very different from those of some colleagues and friends, who were treated in unsympathetic and patronising manners.
Looking for an accommodation can be a rather stressful experience, and one can feel quite vulnerable and exposed to exploitation.
Sensing some tiredness and stress in me, always very respectful, Mr. Moyes also used his sense of humour to help me ease away some confusion and tension, and patiently guided me through the bureaucratic aspects of a tenancy. So, to him I wish to express my gratefulness and thank him for his helpfulness in asking the landlord to grant me an unusual flexibility with my tenancy!
I am also very grateful to Ms Davey for her gentleness. She is my contact for everything that concerns repair works. She has helped making my tenancy here as comfortable as possible by making sure that the occasional repair works were done on time.
I had never met her face to face and, ever since I moved in, our communication has been done via email. When then I recently went to see Mr. Moyes for the above mentioned request, I wrote to her saying I would have to pop in to the Agency and would be really glad to introduce myself and thank her in person. She answered she would be delighted and she did spare a few minutes for a chat, through which her gentleness and professionalism was evident, and she showed genuine interest in some suggestions I offered.
The reason I am writing is because often we tend to speak out only when things go wrong and are unacceptable, while remaining silent when we could, in fact, highlight all the positive things that happen to us and help others to benefit from them, as well.
So, I would like to express all my gratitude and thankfulness to Ms. Danielle Davey and Mr. Dominic Moyes from Paramount Letting Agency.
To them both, best wishes for their continuation from Carlo, one of their clients.
