AVOID at all costs!!
We received the worst customer service EVER with this place. There was a huge lack of communication. The first week we moved in there was a huge fly infestation in the walls and floorboards. We called them and they did not care. They said we had to arrange pest control on our own and send the bill to them. The pest control worker said this was a big infestation built up over time - so in other words the landlord did know about this and ignored it. We sent the bill and they tried to refuse but eventually paid after threatening phone calls from them.
They showed up at the door unexpectedly - i believe there needs to be 24 hours notice for a landlord to visit unless there is an emergency. They would stand at the door waiting to come in and do checks. Why?
The fire alarm was not working when we moved in - which is illegal - and this took them nearly a week to come and fix this. The lock was not secure on the door either.
When we moved out they tried to withhold all the deposit by claiming carpets were brand new when we moved in and we had ruined them. They also tried to add extra items onto the inventory and accused us of stealing a bed side drawer!
They then left an abusive voice mail on my phone demanding i come into the office to view their 'photo evidence' of the state i had left their flat in! This was a joke as the photos were not taken on the day they carried this out as you could tell the weather in the background was not how it was on the day!! The manager then hid in her office pretending she was out and would not speak to us.
They are a complete joke - please avoid at all costs. They will keep your deposit and don't expect anything to be fixed. We lived in a flat for a year with a big damp patch and when they came to view they said it was normal!
You have been warned. They will take advantage of a young student couple - please don't repeat our mistakes.
What agent could do to change your mind?
better communication, not lied with false photos, not turn up unexpectedly, treated us with respect, false claims of new carpets when they are clearly very worn, fixed damp patches and fixed their horrible fly infestation.
