Without a doubt the most incompetent group of 'professionals' i've ever dealt with. I lived in a house managed by them for a year, throughout which there was frequent problems with mould, broken appliances, faulty door locks, none of which was ever dealt with until months after it was meant to be, if at all. The problems were often patched up with short fix solutions, only to break again a week later, any complains or question were met with rude and dismissive responses. Toward the end of the lease they would show people around the flat without prior warning and once there, would enter rooms without knocking and with dreadful attitudes towards us. Of course, the only time we could ever rely on Pavillion to actually do anything on time, or act promptly was when we paid our rent.
Upon leaving the place, which we were relieved to finally do, Pavillion began to surpass even their own ridiculously low standards of service. It took me two and a half months from the day I left the property to finally get my deposit back. For two and a half months, I phoned their office almost every single working day only to be put on hold, ignored, palmed off and finally found out that only ONE of their staff is allowed to refund deposits, the ever useless Chris. Chris does not know how to answer his emails, answer the phone, or generally do anything, yet some how Chris is employed full time to drink tea, take multiple lunch breaks per day and generally be a complete waste of peoples time. When we finally did get our deposits back, we were told that we had been fined due to the damaged state of the property (said damage was of course caused by mould which they had failed to fix) and after a long arduous process we finally got our money back. Despite this, after initially being told we were being fined, no member of staff could work out why and wouldn't explain to us their reasons for doing so.
I don't know how often these posts are read or heeded but I strongly urge ANYONE intending to rent property in Brighton to steer as clear from Pavillion as they possibly can, for the sake of your mental health.
