This agency lacks any sort of professionalism and/or competence. Starting off with poor communication, no replies to emails, but all smiles and yes-yes when you go there directly, however, nothing ever happens.
First, they ask for endless documents, and a UK guarantor, if one fails to provide one (as it is my case), you are asked to pay the 6 or 12 months in advance, and not just the first time, but every single time you renew!
Three months ago, I first reported a plumbing problem, a month after that first email I finally got an answer saying that somehow my email went unnoticed and if I still had the problem, I replied right away, but I didn't hear from them for another 2 weeks, I wrote again, and some days later they replied saying that they were waiting for permission from the landlord to carry out the repairs. After that I didn't hear from them again. Three weeks later I went directly to the agency, the person in charge of repairs (Kirstie, before there was another one, Sandra, who was quite competent) was not there, but I was assured they would do something about it and asked me for permission to enter the flat while I was on holiday. A month later nothing had been done, I wrote back and some days later I got a reply saying that the landlord had approved the repairs and next day the contractor would come. I took a day off from work because I wanted to talk to the handyman, however, nobody showed up and no one informed me (the lack of communication from their part is a recurrent theme with this agency). Also the email I received was quite rude with paragraphs copy-pasted about how if I had changed the locks they would charge me money, if I'd fail to let them in they would charge me as well, however, I had to take a day off from work and no one will compensate me for their lack of competence. Needless to say I wrote them back and I am still waiting for an answer.
Please avoid this agency at any cost. I know that even if moves are expensive and stressful, I will try to find something else with another agency as soon as my contract finishes.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Simply, they should take care of their customers, and not view them as solely a source of money
