Terrible experience - going with Letters was the worse decision we ever made. The agent does not communicate well at all (3/4 people in the agency), which caused several problems during the 14 months tenancy and while we trusted them, we discovered once the tenancy reached an end how wrong we were: the tenants that had supposedly been vetted and had been regularly inspected left the house dirty (including black mould on windows and a lot of rubbish in the freezer), the gardens really not maintained, they removed cupboards without asking and left the walls damaged, requiring quite a bit of work. They also left about a van-load worth of junk in the loft and many empty beer bottles in the garden to top it up - the list could go on much longer! Letters carried out the final inspection and cleared it as fine - releasing the deposit. Contacting them has only proven how little they care (they have taken their commission so don't care about our contract with them) - the whole attitude is that it's our fault for not actually carry out the final inspection ourselves (why did we pay them for then?). IF YOU ARE LOOKING TO RENT YOUR HOUSE OUT, AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Communicate and carry out a PROPER final inspection - the house is a tip and the deposit should NEVER have been released. The attitude of the agent is also awful (it is NOT our fault they did not do their job!). They do not deserve to be in business by treating clients in that manner.Attached Filesnbsp;

We are based in Ashington, Northumberland and I am guessing you a are talking about the company in Stevenage with the same name. In all fairness buddy, that's probably Letters fault entirely. I'm currently renting through letters and they are useless. Lying, withholding information and charging a fortune for pathetic little things which as a tradesman I know do not cost that much.
