Shocking customer service, non responsive, arrogant and misleading. After viewing the property in the evening (no agent present, just the current tenants!) we called up first thing the next morning to let the property. Leigh sent an email stating the following:
"Please see list below of required paperwork/documentation & fees, if you are to proceed with the let on xxxxxxxx. In order to secure the property and remove it from the market, I will require the following as soon as possible."
So, assuming we were securing the property as stated, I had to take time from work to complete the documents and forwarded the payment. I advised Leigh of this (on the Thursday) no reply. I emailed on the Friday, my partner left him voicemails. No Reply. On Saturday myself and my partner drove down to their office (it is a house on a residential street!) to take the hard copies of statements etc. We are not local, this was a 1 hr trip. Nobody there was aware of what was happening, but they took our paperwork anyway. The office was unfriendly, cramped, no customer seating and no courtesy cupof tea offered while we waited in their cramped room. The following week we called again on Monday and were informed that the landlord was deciding on which of the 3 applicants, who have all paid to "secure" the property, they will accept and would call back that day. No call came. Tuesday, no call came. Wednesday, I got an email to say they would go with someone else. No apology for the inconvenience and cost incurred for myself and my partner. We had also missed out on 2 properties in this time which we could not offer for as we had already paid £810 for a property we thought we had secured (out of savings, so loss of interest incurred for early withdrawal).
After reading these reviews, and looking again through their charges, I am actually quite relieved not to have to deal with them again. Awful agents!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Not mislead us about securing the property! Called back! Offered a cup of tea!

The following email was then immediatley sent and the refund arrnaged with immediate affect.
'Dear Miss Murray & Mr Clarke
The Landlord has been to our office this morning and had an extensive look through the FCC Referencing Forms and unfortunately they have decided to go with the other interested applicants, I offer sincere apologies to have to let you down at this stage after you made the initial effort to get me paperwork & transfer fees.
If you could please forward your bank details on, I will arrange the refund with immediate affect, apologies again.'
