Lived in the property for nearly 4 years, had quarterly inspections which always highlighted how great I took care of the property. Recently moved as purchased my own home and had the place cleaned to high standards which they confirmed they had seen, and then I received a letter advising me that they had it independently checked (which wasn't as it was their own staff) and now they are holding my deposit of £500 looking to claim £66 as they said they had to clean the oven and hob. Thankfully I took photos on my last day, but had I not I would have no case. I moved out on 1st August and still haven't got my deposit back yet as still in the process of trying to get them to agree that it didn't need cleaned. TAKE PHOTOS OF EVERYTHING before you leave!!!! And DON'T rent a property with ReedsRains - sweet to your face until you need to leave - oh and they send round shoddy workmen who 1. aren't qualified and 2. don't know how to fix things!! STAY AWAY!!
What agent could do to change your mind?
Returned my deposit in full in a reasonable time and stopped trying to screw money out of people, that was totally unjustified!!! Get qualified tradesmen in to do repairs.Attached Filesnbsp;
