Utterly awful agents, avoid at all costs. We had the same experience as "Angrytenant" last year with the second shower which was unfit for purpose and nailed shut without informing us. Thus, what we had been told was a two shower house was a one shower house by the time we moved in, with no reduction in rent or even a proper apology. Their exorbitant agent fee appears to go straight into their pockets as the house had been only superficially cleaned on arrival and renovations promised (e.g. repainting the dilapidated front door) not carried out. As the year progressed, there were issues with electrics, damp & mould (including a huge leak from the ex-shower), collapsing stairs, loose floorboards, windows which could not be kept shut and countless others. Work to repair these was infrequently done; often we were promised things would be fixed, even to the point of their handyman coming round to have a look, but then never done. Repairs that did take place were either very late in coming (for example, in one bedroom the wallpaper was stripped off a damp wall and not replaced for months) or extremely shoddy (the aforementioned windows were bodged by their handyman and promptly broke again within weeks).
In short, Pavilion are money-grabbing, unprofessional, bare-faced liars and anyone seeing their sign outside a property should run a mile. Brighton estate agents as a whole aren't the most helpful people but these are the worst of the lot.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Frankly, there was not one positive thing about them and the whole experience would have had to have been different in order for them to merit recommendation.
