We had this agency let and manage our house for us and we have had problems ever since and no longer let the house. To start with there was damage done to our property which parkyns did not check after the tenant left so they returned the deposit to the tenant, it then took months for parkyns to correct the damage. This tenant also did not pay any bills while at the property, this led the electricity company to put a pre-payment meter on the side of my house without my knowledge. Parkyns did not seem to care when the electricity company came after me for the £140 the tenant owed when they left, this issue was still a problem a year later as parkyns was supposed to deal with the electricity company as they had all the tenant information. Since this time I now live in this property while parkyns rents the two houses either side of me. As far as I can tell from my own experience and the two neighbours I have currently parkyns do no checks on the tenants they find. I have had to call the police about one neighbour for domestic violence as he beat his girlfriend and dragged her out by her hair. From this property we hear constant shouting, swearing and abuse. We told parkyns who said they would let the owner of the house know, however this problem still continues. Even worse is my other neighbour, who rents a 1bedroom place the other side of me. Luckily he is hardly ever there as he actually lives down the road, although when he is he brings about 5 children over to the property who then run around my driveway and ride their bikes. I now have a dent in my car because of this and have just had to have my windscreen replaced as well. There is also music playing constantly when they are there, this is not a problem however the amount of bass that is coming from that house has broken a high tec gaming mouse which was rather expensive and has made us both feel quite ill. I also do not wish to hear an old man have sex every week when they come over to get away from the kids, he is so loud we can hear every word he says. We informed parkyns who said they would make a visit to the property and discuss the damage. This is the last I heard, our house is now up for sale.
