The agent, Karen, was fortunately excellent and if this review was purely about my interaction with her I would only be able to say good things. She worked hard, efficiently and professionally to ensure as smooth a sale as possible. However the Oakwood branch of Preston Baker seriously disappointed me. On completion the only provided me with half of the keys and it was several days before this was resolved. Eventually, when given the remainder of the keys all window keys were missing and none are present at the property. When I enquired about this I was abruptly told by the Oakwood Branch (Karen works in York) that they were under no legal obligation to provide these or replace them, having never checked that they had a full set of keys to start with. I have heard no more from them, leaving me with the sobering thought that for the best part of quarter of a million pounds Preston Baker are more than comfortable with selling an insecure property whilst happily pocketing the commission.
What agent could do to change your mind?
Had my concerns over the security of my property been acknowledged and taken seriously I may have reconsidered my review. A call to the previous owner, who denies any knowledge of the location of the keys and ending communication there is neither sufficient nor professional.

Hi Lucy, Its great to get you positive feedback about Karen and I hope your settling in well in your new home. As discussed in several correspondence the property had been let out through another agent with the owner living in the south. We took all the keys that the previous letting agent had and what the owner had and gave them all to you which was in excess of 15 keys. I apologise if you feel that we were abrupt with our response but this is something you will need to speak to your solicitor about. Regards
