I was in a real predicament and needed to move. Unfortunately the vendor was often abroad and her solicitor was a large 'conveyancing action house' up North. Offer and acceptance was agreed on a turnaround of approx. 4 weeks. The property was vacant and no mortgage involved. Unfortunately after 9 weeks, my solicitor (recommended by Alan Selby, continued to inform me that the vendors solicitor were not responding).
I went to Alan Selby's offices and asked to see a manager, after 5pm without advance arrangement. The sales manager was not available. The receptionist was able to understand the seriousness of my presentation and concern and responded hospitably and respectfully, as she seated me in their meeting room, offering a refreshment. Within a few short moments, Angela an Associate Partner at Alan Selby came to meet me. She listened attentively to my concerns. She identified the issues and how they could be actioned to produce effective results. She also kindly offered to oversee all matters going forward. Alan Selby working as a team did as much as they could to ensure this purchase went through. Had it not been for them and the solicitor they recommended to me, who is well experienced and works frequently with them, I have no doubt that my sale would have fallen through. I am especially grateful, as my situation was such that I had to move and quickly.
I realise that Alan Selby generate very big business and my purchase was a very small pebble in their pond - yet they treated my situation with such respect, attentiveness and assistance - I was bowled over by the customer service I received from them. Particularly pleased to see how well the office works as a team together with their contacts. Professional, lateral thinkers and they get things done. Though they are a large business, I really felt I received real community service from an estate agents based in my local community. They were brilliant and I am grateful to them.
Though I can only list two names of 'staff members' above on this eform - this review goes out to all at Alan Selby and their colleagues.
