After several encounters with estate and letting agents, we stumbled up Fair-Way Lettings. From the intitial telephone call, we felt that they were different. Mark arranged a viewing for the same day and James spent over an hour with us at the house even thought it was way past 6pm. We were not pressure in any way to take the property or make a quick reservation. Our conversations with James and Mark we very clear and they did not treat us like herded sheep. They setup their company because of their own bad experiences with other letting agents who over charged and did not deliver a good quality of service, hence why their attitude to the industry does not follow the stereos-types we have come to loathe. In the end, our decision to rent this property was based on the house as much as the experience we had with Fair-Way Lettings. They do not look to bleed you dry with unnecessary charges and fees. Their fees are simple and fair: application fee, deposit, rent. They helped us greatly with the application. When we thought we did not have all the right documentation, they helped us put what we had together for a successful application. All in all, these are genuine guys who got fed up with all the unnecessary red tape and fees, and decided to do something about it by setting up their own service. Highly recommended.

Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed).
