I have been waiting two years to get my deposit back. When I contact the branch they claim not to know who I am and now claim that they were not the staff here two years ago. They charged me a bigger rent than the one agreed with the Landlord. I see that others have put posts here. Is there anything that can be done? The staff are rude, aggressive and have little local knowledge.

We found out about the CCJ's a couple of months after we moved in, when they continually failed to register our deposit with the DPS. (A certificate is issued by the DPS once the deposit is registered for the agent to forward onto the tenant.) I issued a claim through the county court for fee of around £80, and then phoned them to say as there were so many outstandings debts, we should skip straight to bankruptcy proceedings. The deposit was registered within 24 hours. ...
