Corrupt letting agents,

Will fabricate lies to ensure they keep your security deposit.

Rude women, the lot of them - especially Sarah.

They do not pass on communication to each other which results in having to make several phone calls from to get anything felt with and then it never is dealt with anyway.

I had a maintenance worker walk into my house (using a set of keys) to measure doors. I was alone in the house as my husband was out. I had not been asked by Roxburgh first, I was shocked that they would give a set of keys to someone just let themselves into my property unannounced.

Do not deal with roxburgh letting agents, they don't even deserve 1 star
What agent could do to change your mind?
They were liars, corrupt, rude and couldn't care less for customers. So they would need to improve on all areas of business. Or close down.

Hi Karen, So sorry to hear you’ve had similar difficulties but not at all surprised. I’m afraid I haven’t kept the paperwork but I think the name of the cleaning company was Peachy Clean (or something like that). I tried to call them 3 or 4 times but never received a response. I couldn’t find them online or registered with Companies House either so I couldn’t say for sure if they even existed. I suspect not. Good luck! ...

The tenant in question, posing under the name "Poor Service" is in serious breach of his Short Assured Tenancy Agreement refusing Agent access to the tenanted property on 10 occasions over the last 11 months. Letting agents aren't allowed to charge fees in Scotland which I believe is different from other parts of the UK according to my friends who moved up from England, so I wasn't charged any fees by Roxburgh Group. When I rented my flat, a holding sum of £200 was requested but this wasn't really a fee as it went towards the deposit of £310 for my flat, so I only had to pay another £110 to make up the difference for the deposit and the entire amount was returned to me when I left via SafeDeposits Scotland. I was suprised by some of the comments here, I think as long as you leave the flat as its found and check the inventory carefully when you move in, you really shouldn't have any problems or additional fees or suprises. I really would recommend Roxburgh and would use them again.
