I was very disappointed with the service that the JAC Strattons has provided me both during my stay and after for getting back my deposit.
The apartment was full of endless problems and we have always contacted the agency to inform them if anything had stopped working or was broken to prevent any problems. The fact that response was usually late, only made things get worse because it was not fixed straight away. As a full time graduate student I had no time to keep going after this so had to live in a apartment with many problems and paid from my own money to fix stuff which I was never paid back for.
Meanwhile, surprisingly after a whole year since we last left the apartment, they have not yet reached to any conclusion regarding the deposit, which I have to say with all due respect, is not a small amount of money and therefore can not be considered as a joke or be neglected. Till this day they tell me, they cannot release the deposit because they cannot reach the Lanlord ( an excuse that they've been using from day one).
Having to deal with this agency was a huge consumption of time and money, not getting back any service in return. I do not recommend it to anyone and would advice you to not wait for them to resolve you any issues, refer to your deposit protection agency to guarantee to get it back from the first month.
What agent could do to change your mind?
1- To have fairly resolved my problems in the appartment.
2- Paying me the money I had to pay to fix stuff in the appartment which I had documents that proved that it was not broken by me but it was very old and hasn't been maintained for a while ( they never helped in anything, with the excuse that the lanlord cannot be reached)
3- For being more helpful and fair in getting back my deposit, the money is still with them after a year, again with the excuse that the Lanlord cannot be reached.
