Although this review is unlikely to have any impact on the agency or landlord in question, due to the high need for rentals and resultant limitation of the market they hold, it felt important for me to feedback my experience. I am so disappointed with this agency for allowing the landlord to treat us so poorly (or perhaps it wasn't the landlord and just them) and not advocating for us as renters in today's market. - When we moved in we put in a request for a small dog which was declined for no reason (illegal). They said it was advertised as no pets, which it wasn't, and they were unable to provide us with any proof. - We challenged a 15% increase, which we are within our rights to do (consulted CA), due to their delay in responding to us, we went beyond the month's challenge and were forced to pay or face eviction. - We explained why we couldn't move (involving young children and traumatic circumstances) we were asked to move anyway through papers through our door and no personal communication. - The property was painted with possibly the lowest quality paint that could not be wiped down. After a professional clean and patching up white on white paint after two years living in the house (reasonable wear and tear expected) they deducted money off our deposit, we just wanted to be rid of them and move on with our lives so agreed. - On our final checkout they did not even bother to turn up for a final inspection. We were excellent tenants, looked after the property, were good neighbours and always paid on time. Merely on a human level, our experience with this agent (and landlord) has been wholly unpleasant. I would absolutely steer clear if the choice is yours.

Nov 14, 2024Pets are not allowed at this property. Six dilapidations were agreed with the landlord and the total £190 charge was itemised. None of the points were disputed and agreement was reached without needing to raise a tds dispute. The tenants did not come back with a good time for the agreed exit date . We went round there within an hour of hearing they had vacated to check the property was secure and then carried out a full exit check in daylight the following day. . The tenant left some crockery in a kitchen cupboard which i hand delivered to these tenants to their new address as a sign of good will. Nothing negative was said face to face when i met one of the tenants to hand over the crockery.

Nov 14, 2024This response only further displays the exact point being made in my review. No wonder there are a proliferation of 1 star reviews of this agency seeing as though feedback is not reflected on. Shame on you.

Beacon Lee and Ward are awful.
