I have been a tenant in a residence let by Pantheon for almost a decade.
Pantheon have always been great to deal with. Communication with them is simple - as someone who prefers to email rather than talk on the telephone, it is important emails are responded to in a timely manner and Pantheon do that - and in the handful of times issues have arisen, they have been addressed within a more than acceptable timeframe.
The staff you are likely to deal with on a normal, daily basis are nice, polite and professional. Kerry has always been the 'go-to' girl who would directly (sorting where possible) or indirectly (arranging contractors) resolve any issues which may arise (she has more strings to her bow than a harp), and Steph has been a welcome addition to the Pantheon team. The contractors who I have dealt with have always been sound fellas and have always done a good job.
I can obviously only speak about my flat, but it was furnished with a hob, oven washing machine and fridge-freezer when I moved in. During my time here, Pantheon kindly provided me with an electric shower upon my request. They didn't have to - I had a working shower, but the water was heated via an immersion heater - but they agreed and sorted it anyway. Obviously, each case/building/flat may be dealt with differently.
This has been my first time renting in the private sector. You read scare stories about rogue landlords/letting agents (including our MPs), but my experience with Pantheon has been very positive. Yes, the rent rises are an issue, but you only have to look at rents charged in my local area to see they could easily be higher.
I know, unfortunately, providing this review will not lead to my rent being held at it's current level or reduced! But as someone who likes to moan about things (I only moan when there's a reason to moan, of course...), I think it's important we all take the time to acknowledge when people or companies are out there doing things right and treating their 'customers' how they'd like to be treated themselves or how they'd like their loved ones to be treated.
