One star isn't even deserved for the hell we have been through the past 8 months with the Prenton branch. We moved into our house October 2023 and there was a couple of small things which were fixed quite quickly. The first main issue has been Abigail, when we first moved in she gave us the wrong bank details to pay our rent to. She gave us a personal bank account for a woman named Joanna, when the rent is meant to be payed into a business account. She took barely any accountability for this and just brushed it off. After the company giving us 2 weeks to move out, She gave us 2 days notice that our house would be up for viewings whilst we were still living there and that if we couldn't be present she would use the key they held to let herself in. We had to arrange for someone to be there as we couldn't take time off and was far from comfortable with her being there alone. She said to the person who was supervising her doing viewings how much we'd been perfect tenants and always payed on time and kept the house very clean and tidy. We cleaned the house before moving and left it in a cleaner state than when we got it, payed our rent on time every month yet she sent a reference to our new landlord stating we are bad tenants who can't pay our rent on time and missed payments, and also mentioned us hounding her for repairs. We discovered a leak in the bathroom from the negligence of the landlord it opened a can of worms. We discovered in January 2024 a small amount of mould coming from under the bath. After 2-3 months of asking we had a plumber come and asses the bathroom. Prior to him coming the landlord had stated he doesn't give permission for him to remove the bath panel, which is where the mould was coming from, the plumber did anyway and discovered the bath hadn't been fitted correctly and the tiles weren't fitted correctly either and could fall down at any point taking the shower with it. The landlord demanded second and third quotes for the repairs and still by June had done 0 repairs. Bearing in mind I am severely asthmatic and had recently recovered from pneumonia and was also pregnant, he did not care. Jones and chapman had plenty of time to repair the property but left us with an unsafe bathroom. We asked to be released from the tenancy 4 months early due to the condition of the house. They agreed and said either move out within the next 2 weeks or you will have to stay until November which is when I am due. We moved out in July and the landlord and jones and chapman disappeared and stopped replying to our emails regarding our deposit and took nearly 2 months to send it back to us, after claiming damages were from us, that were actually there before we moved in. We handed out keys back on a Friday in July and by the Monday someone had already picked the keys up and was moving in, despite the bathroom being unsafe to live with.
