If you are renting I would avoid stoneacre at all costs. We were messed around when we moved in not given the correct keys so we didn't have access to the property. We didn't have hot water in the taps for nearly 3 weeks when we first moved in and the hot water in the bathroom tap didn't work for the majority of our stay. This wasn't a priority for them to fix as we had hot water in one electric shower. We weren't provided with an electric key even though it said on our itinerary that we were and the electric meter was in debt so we had to go round every shop in the area to find an electric key. When we moved in we had damp and mould and were told it was just shadows after we sent photo evidence, when someone finally came to look at it they painted over it with mould paint. We were told we would be provided with a dehumidifier and never was. We told them how the heat was escaping as the windows were old and drafty and we were told to put the heating on more even though we were spending a fortune as it was. We asked for compensation for these issues when we moved in as the property did not reflect the itinerary and we were told after months of back and forth that the landlord was not prepared to compensate us even though the majority of the mistakes were stoneacre's fault if they are in charge of the property. If we reported any faults via their website the estate agent would say they would get in touch with the landlord and get back to us and next minute we had people in our property carrying out work without providing notice. When we gave our notice to leave they conducted viewings in the flat while we were at work without giving us any notice, I only found out as I came home from work early. You're supposed to have one property manager yet deal with different people all the time who seem to not know anything about your property. If you have any complaints they just stop replying to you. You constantly have to chase things to get any result and everything is always “we'll get in touch with the landlord” even if the mistake made is on their behalf. There's specifically a woman called Marianne who works at the chapel allerton branch who is so infuriating, I reported the electric water heater as it stopped working again and filled out all the questions on the report and they responded with “have you topped up your gas” and then proceeded to tell me someone would be out in “around a week” after already waiting a week no apologies or acknowledgment of continual issues and when I responded with my frustrations of having this constant issue I was just ignored. Unfortunately as a tenant you have little rights and it has made our stay here really unpleasant. Avoid at all costs.
