I engaged the services of Livermores, Dartford to sell my house in West Dartford.
Initially their responses were okay but the property description missed many relevant points and to my mind was poorly drafted.
At the time I signed the contract I was told there was an buyer looking for my type of property. Of course they never materialised.
There followed many months of little progress, few viewers and repeated revaluation of my property.
In the end I had reduced my asking price by 9% in order to attract offers.
Fed up with the lack of progress I advised Livermores that I would take my property off their books if no buyer was found within two weeks.
Amazingly a buyer surfaced just in time and offers were made, negotiated and reluctantly accepted, well below the average market valuation for my house.
I sought assurance that the buyers were in a position to proceed with the purchase, which I was given.
However this was a ruse to keep me on board with Livermores.
I nade offers in properties I was interested in only to be advised by another estate agent that my buyer had a property to sell. When challeged Livermores admitted that my buyer had a house not yet on the market, meaning I was strung along for another four weeks.
Eventually I had enough and withdrew.
In short, Livermores mislead me, failed to act in my best interests and fed me a diet of bs.
