We chose Abbott & Abbott out of three local agents (who all impressed us) because they had a sensible rational for why they suggested we market the house at one hundred thousand pounds more than the other two agents proposed. Normally I would go for the middle valuation, but Mark Pelham's reasoning seemed sound and, in fact,, the price achieved was seventy-five thousand pounds higher than the other two agents believed the property would fetch. The other reason I have given Abbott & Abbott a score of 'excellent' is the on-going service we received. Mark kept in close touch throughout the selling process, always returning calls promptly, negotiating skilfully with prospective buyers, including gently pushing where necessary, and generally keeping us well informed. If Mark was out of the office his colleague, Rodney, was also very helpful. Mark recommended a good removal firm and a house clearance firm, and would have been able to recommend a local solicitor if we had needed one. In summary, we received an accurate valuation and all round excellent service.
