Highly dissatisfied with the sale of my property. I chose Pilkington to sell my property after a lot of consideration…. This was a mistake! I'm was over promised and Pilkington underachieved.
The professional photographer did not meet the amazing portfolio expectations I was shown during our first meet, in fact the photos didn't even come close. I was told I would have an open day at my property which sadly never happened.
I consistently had viewings booked for times I had previously requested not to, and when I called to book a viewing on another house myself, I was told I couldn't view it for over a week. This was the nail in the coffin for me and I put my notice in soon after. After emailing my notice I received a phone call to consider selling my property with two agents (Pilkington being one of them). The reasoning behind this was that they would work harder to get the sale. Surely this should have been the goal anyway?
In the end I soon realised Pilkington was definitely working more for the buyer rather than me as the seller. I felt words were put into my mouth and then twisted against me. I did end up with a buyer, however I felt immense pressured into dropping my sale price to suit by buyers needs. This was done in a way that made me feel my property was worthless. The outcome of this was the sale not going through because Pilkington did not do the correct checks. A complete waste of time.
I would not recommend Pilkington to anyone wanting to sell a property.
