Pavilion Properties, where do I start? On first encounters the staff are extremely friendly and helpful, they even boast about the amazing relationships they have with current tenants, due to them being such great agents, and students wanting to stay with them for the entire 3 years; this will be the first lie of many.
After you have given them money and signed contracts you will probably never see them again, any work that needs doing on the house will not only not be done, but they will deny any knowledge of it being reported, even if you speak to the same person 5 days in a row.
On top of this, like other reviews, they will not provide each tenant with a copy of the agreement. I have been in this property for 16 months and am still waiting for a copy.
The staff, after you have given them several hundred pounds and signed the agreement, then become extremely rude and unprofessional. A recent example is an argument we had with them over a sudden charge of £50 each that arose when adding new people onto our contract. They had asked us to come into the office 3 times previously and then turned us away claiming they hadn't asked us to be there at all. On this ultimate visit they sprung a random "processing fee" of £150 at us, which we refused to pay as we hadn't heard about it previously, this turned into a back and fourth between one of the tenants, and a man who I believe to be the main guy, which consisted of "no you didnt tell us," "yes we did," "no you didn't.." "yes we did," "ok well i cant pay that now," "yes you can." "no i can't," "yes you can." and so on.
This was extremely embarrassing, and the fee of course never surfaced again, possibly due to the fact the contract can be valid for 3 years.
This all goes along with, of course, countless empty promises, complete lack of communication and extreme unprofessionalism.
Twice now they have booked to have inspections on the property, after not having a single one for over 12 months, and twice they have failed to turn up giving no reason.
They are an extreme inconvenience and not a company you want to trust with something as important as your living space.
I dread to imagine what is going to happen over the return of the deposits.
Just don't do it.
