We were extremely surprised and delighted how the sale process of our house was managed by the Farnham Branch of Bourne Estate Agents. We were undecided on what to do regarding which estate agents to use and there is more than sufficient choice in Farnham. Following an open and honest discussion with Stuart about our property, the market, and what Bourne Estate Agents could offer, we were persuaded to allow a limited number of prospective buyers to view the property, without the property being put on the open market. A second viewing resulted two days later, with an agreed offer following the third viewing, a further four days after. Viewings to sale in 6 days !!

The whole process was handled in a professional and pro-active manner, especially Adam who had the unenviable job of dealing with a particular solicitor who seemed to be doing everything possible to put obstacles in the way. He managed this process with patience, understanding, and a pragmatic approach to getting the job done. He kept us informed at every stage of the process and it was a pleasure doing business with him.

We also found that Millie operated in a similar professional, and approachable manner. The rest of the team were also always very pleasant to talk with, when it was necessary.

I have no hesitation in recommending Bourne Estate Agents and will use them again should the opportunity arise. They do precisely what they say they will, when they say that they will do it. They answer the phones, they return messages, and they answer emails quickly. This might sound like it should be a given, but is not always the case.

I don't think that there is anything that I could suggest as to how they could improve the service that they offer.

What agent could do to change your mind?
Try to understand your customers' perspective. Don't patronise your clients, and perhaps an apology for your errors would be a start.

Exactly the same experience here. They had the property we bought on the market for well over a year, but when we started the conveyancing process it was totally unready for sale - missing building regs, FENSA certificates - you name it. Wasted huge amounts of our solicitors time (and our money) chasing and chasing to get things done, with total incompetence from the Bourne team *. Ugh!! And even at the end, when they knew they'd fouled up, not a whimper of an apology - they clearly didn't care ...
