!!!!!!!!! WATCH OUT !!!!!!!!!!!! DO NOT RENT WITH COUNTRYWIDE !!!!!!!
We have rented our Apartment through Countrywide and everything went fine. We had to pay a 1000 GBP deposit but when we moved out, they told us they'd keep 500 GBP, apparently because there was damage, the apartment required cleaning and we left things behind.
Countrywide provided pictures of before and after our tenancy - we showed them with THEIR OWN pictures that their allegations were not true! We have sent multiple emails but we did not receive a response. We even talked to the owner of the apartment who does not agree with Countrywide's behaviour and he tried to solve the matter. Unfortunately, we have not received an answer from Countrywide and we still haven't received anything from our initial deposit of 1000 GBP!

Avoid like the plague. They will not answer emails, they will not fix problems, they will lie and then finally your deposit will be raided to pay for things they didn't fix during your tenancy....

Pretty standard to the agents I had out to give valuation. Although they included the cost of them completing the viewings within the fee which made my life easier.
