This review is for wards Chatham branch. If you are thinking of engaging the services of this branch please let our experience serve as a cautionary tale to you. We made the unfortunate mistake of going with Wards to market our property. From the onset, it was clear to the individual who came to us to discuss and eventually take on the business what our needs were, sell our house as a chain. We found a property through the walderslade branch, please note this was after several expression of interest in other properties marketed by the walderslade branch which for reasons best known to them they always sabotaged us on. We however managed to find one through the walderslade branch or so we thought until we started the process and we got stuck because of a long standing issue that wards walderslade very well knew about but deliberately withheld from us. We only found out about the issue as part of the legal process, another buyer had previously pulled out for this particular reason. How is it that Wlderslade branch relisted the property without finding the moral and ethical decency to inform us so we could make an informed decision? That on its own is a consumer protection issue but I digress. We eventually moved on to another property, as nothing was progressing further with the one above, not once did the walderslade branch offer an apology or explanation for why they had withheld such crucial information from us. Their demeanour and manner of interaction was like that of a slave-master one, in their opinion it was not business, they were doing us an inconvinent favour. Please note in all of this we were in a chain, the sale on our property continued to progress and this meant we had to seek out another property just so things could progress as it should. We found another property, managed by the chatham branch and we re-commenced the process of purchase at our end. Matter of fact the only person who really made any proper professional efforts to support us was the mamager at Rainham branch. Consitently sending us properties, marketing, communicating and checking in with us to see if we had found something suitable, progressing with her branch would have been smooth and easy if we found something suitable in her patch, Ali was the proverbial rainbow in the cloudy storm created by the other two branches. We however went with the property we found in Chatham and it was from this point our woes re-began. Chatham never for önce called or offered any support. We would regularly call to chase for updates , communication was non existent and if it did ever happen it was clear we were being bullied and pressured to complete our own sale or risk loosing our buyer. It was clear the individuals who worked in the Chatham office did not share information with each other and this cascaded down to us.As much as i have my reservations, I have no doubt that this organisation is racist, we have been treated like second class citizens by the individuals in this branch, they treated us like filth ,outrightly lied to us, pressured and bullied us to complete sale on our property as according to them the buyer will be lost, zero consideration for the fact that it was a chain. When you are constantlypressured, you become compelled to make decisions so sale of our property completed without us completing on our own purchase and these rogues inflated their charges to the solicitors, what was on the contract was totally different from what they asked off the solicitors. They simply profited off our pain, struggle and inconvenience. Yet, no communication from them, not a single word or contact to discuss our purchase , a property also marketed through the same chatham branch. It is unbelievable how any estate agent can be allowed to transact business in such manner. Not a single atom of care or concern. When we embarked on this journey on a chain basis it was so we wouldn't have to spend a dime out of our pocket. The equity we had on our property was sufficient to cover any expense. Unfortunately, the greed and repeatedly unnecessary pressure from the people who were meant to be supporting us in this process has left us incurring Unexpected financial losses. It has been radio silence since completion on our property, we still continue to await progression on purchase of the property also marketed through wards. We are now homeless and paying a daily rate to accommodate a family of six. The Financial, emotional and psychological implication this has had on our family and kids is enormous. I expect that wards Chatham will make an attempt to absolve themselves of any wrong doing in this matter but please be aware that you cannot play judge and jury in your own matter, it is for this reason independent regulatory bodies exist.BEWARE DO NOT TRANSACT ANY BUSINESS WITH WARDS CHATHAM
