I have used OpenRent twice now in finding a tenant and I can honestly say that currently, I will never use any other local estate agent to find me a tenant.
Previously, I have used estate agents; Choices, Oaks Estate Agents, Streets Ahead and Leaders, and I have always had problems with level of tenants they provided. I always had problems with these agents misinforming me and/or providing me false information. I had to even take one of them to court and of course, they had to settle before the case went to court.
OpenRent is the best way to find a tenant these days; this is if you want to find an honest and good tenant and not be deceived by estate agents.
The landlord decides who they want in their property and not OpenRent. In most cases, the landlord will met and greet the tenants. OpenRent is thorough with their reference checks and their fees are very affordable. I have seen reference checks produced by other agents and they do not contain a fraction of information to the ones produced by OpenRent. Reports produce by local estate agents are minimal and basic.
My dealings with OpenRent have been excellent so far. The system is very easy to use and communication and advice by OpenRent is prompt and professional. It is cheap to advertise and you do not pay commission to some agents who do not even produce more than 2/3 viewings for you; let alone keep you in the loop or advise you if things go sour with the tenant(s). Local estate agents are there just a collecting money machines by wanting to get rich with minimal effort.
