Not a great first experience. Left very upset, disappointed & uncomfortable.
Unwelcoming staff, fed lies to the seller about us not having completed documents- when in fact this was done well before deadline and also dropped off into branch. Both times I entered branch I felt very uncomfortable by some staff members. Not only me but my husband and family member also picked up on this.
I honestly expected support and advice from an estate agents but unfortunately I was having to ask elsewhere if it was normal to be treated like this and experience the things we did. I understand a commission is to be made but to deter the seller from selling to a serious buyer is honestly unfair. On numerous occasions! Despite her own personal choice to sell to us. And then getting mad at the seller for deciding to sell to us after spending an additional day or so convincing her to back out and choose someone else saying we were not ready when in fact we did everything that was asked of us.
I really hope no one else needs to go through this or feels this way because this journey is stressful in itself- without having the trouble we went through.
On completion we didn't hear anything till the following day, didn't know about getting the keys. Next day I was told I'd receive a call back- I didn't get one. Quite a few other points but I won't bother to get into them.
I will say I do really appreciate email correspondence from Amanda - it's been nice to have some sort of communication confirming what's been going on. Thanks.
