Unfortunately, I have had the misfortune of dealing with Richard James and that I cannot give them -1 stars. Please do not waste your time with this estate agent if you a tenant or if you are a person of colour. They will not take anything you do or say seriously either because they 1) you are not the landlord, therefore not throwing money at them or 2) you are not a white person.
They will leave you without a working fridge for weeks, offering no compensation for any food thrown away, bear in mind during this time I could not keep any food and would have to constantly buy food.
They will laugh down the phone at you when you make a compliant, and they will do whatever they can to protect their landlords. This is how their managers act towards tenants who stand up for themselves. Do not, I repeat, do not waste your time or money. They are a heartless, mismanaged, uncaring, racist company who care for nothing but lining their own and their landlords pockets. They will insist that the property needs to be professionally cleaned after check out because that was the “standard” but fail to provide any evidence of that “standard” being reached such as a receipt from a cleaning company.
They did not even check things like plumping when I moved in, the drain in the bath was so badly blocked you could see the blockage. They will have absolutely no problem prostrating for a landlord when they demand a tenant sends them video proof of pouring drain unblocker down the drain to prove it's been done, but these are the same people refusing to send receipts for things they claim have been done.
they are the worst company to deal with, unless of course you are a landlord, in which case this is a 5* review and the prefect company to do all your dirty work for you.
