Holding deposit taken referencing passed, flat pulled due to another offer complete cowboy experience, no holding deposit returned. Avoid seeking legal reimbursement due to the impact of dealing, horrible agency never dealt with anyone like this before.

Hi there Berkeley, we're sorry to hear you had a negative experience with Complete. We've investigated your claim and I can confirm your holding deposit is being returned to you -as mentioned these refunds take 3-5 days to be processed depending on your bank, you'll see it in the next day or two. Unfortunately with the rental market as buoyant as it is, landlords are receiving multiple offers. The tenancy guide which you signed does stipulate the below: "The landlord’s acceptance of the offer in principle does not guarantee a tenancy as it is subject to references being satisfactory, and strictly subject to the contract being signed and executed by both parties. If the landlord changes their mind after the offer has been accepted, you will be refunded." Do reach out if you'd like to look at any other available properties.

To owner hk: I had to resolve to find the key person in complete LTD via linkedin and contacted her. The issues was partially resolved when the tenant moved out, paid the rent in installments and left a damaged property which I had to fight to get deducted from the deposit - which they eventually gave me. My disappointment with COMPLETE is that they dont represent the owners interest and only care about their fees. I requested that my property is inspected when the tenant failed to pay rent, th ...
