After reading the reviews here I would not have used Fox & Sons if there had been any choice, but they were the sole agents for the property we eventually bought. To my surprise they were professional, courteous and helpful. The house is a repossession, and the sellers were difficult to deal with, causing long initial delays for which Fox were not responsible. As soon as a price was agreed, with some awkward conditions imposed by the seller, the sale went through without a problem, and we now have the Land Registry document in our name.
When we first saw the property it contained a lot of broken down furniture inside the house and in the back yard, but Fox cleared this all away promptly.
Because the house was a repossession, Fox were legally obliged to continue advertising the house to prove they were looking for the best possible price for the mortgage holders. This led to a tense waiting period until contracts were exchanged, but this is unavoidable. They quickly took the house off the market after the exchange.
