Having decided on purchasing a house through Entwistle Green we decided to use them as our own agent. This we were assured would be an added incentive for them to increase their efforts to sell ours.
In 9 months we had 4 viewings of which 2 were from completely unsuitable clients for the type of house and were in reaction to complaints by myself to Entwistle green that we were receiving no feedback from them.
Other than the contact to arrange viewings we had no communication from them whatsover. The details for our property were removed from Rightmove and this was only noticed when we ourselves saw this. We have no idea how long this had been the situation.
We paid extra for a media package that was just a series of moving stills.
While realising the situation of the housing market at the current time, the lack of communication, perceived effort and the fact that similar houses in the area at similar prices were moving quickly with other agents only increased the frustration. This was only exemplified when the house we were wishing to purchase was sold and Entwistle Green did not see fit to inform us.
For the £2000+ fee all we actually received was a Rightmove listing.
