Today, August 10, 2022, I went with my wife and my father-in-law to this real estate agency (Parkinsonfarr) I confess that I would rather not have gone, I have lived in London for a few years and I had never been through a situation like this. I know I'm an immigrant and my English isn't the best, but I've never had a problem communicating with anyone, nor have I been discriminated against because of my ethnicity or sexual orientation. Today when we went to this agency I mentioned that we were looking for an apartment for my in-laws, the first agent asked us the size, how many people would move (I explained that it was just my father-in-law and my mother-in-law and that my wife and I were just helping as they didn't communicate well in English), at that moment another agent was already said that they don't rent a house to those who don't speak English for security reasons, my wife and I were paralyzed in disbelief in what we were hearing, I I asked how? because my wife always helped them with bureaucratic issues and with everything they needed, he intervened and said that my wife didn't stay with them 24 hours and that this was government safety regulations. I told them that I was sure the government would never tell them not to rent houses to people who don't speak English, that they had work and could pay for it. That all communication could be by email or my wife's phone. I felt bad, discriminated against and extremely offended by this * crime. I have already filed a report with the police, this can never happen to anyone. It's hurt, I d't like companies that treat people like that.
