We were very lucky to find Madeley Properties. The agency always helped us swiftly when problem occured in the flat and they never charged us anything for that which were great experiences. I had previously really bad experiences with other agencies that often tried to charge us with various reasons. Even for fixing washing machine which was not clearly our fault, etc.. The point is that the property should never have been listed on Rightmove and advertised as 'available' until the agency received written confirmation from you that you formally wished to terminate your contract. The agency should also not have arranged viewings without you having formally given your notice. (we spoke with three other agencies that ensured us this is standard practice)

We genuinely regret that you feel this way, but it seems your disappointment should be directed elsewhere. As agents dealing with hundreds of tenants we cannot please everyone fully, yet we do and will continue to try hard at it.
The check-out process as described above is not consistent with what happened on the day. The check-out report clearly stated all the points that needed repair. It is not us as agents but the landlord who ultimately decides the amount of the deductions request. In th ...
