I was advised by Abeking Paget and Williamson to make 3 investments as described below:
1. 2017 Off-plan rental investment: One bedroom apartment in Birmingham. As of June 2022 the development has yet to break ground.
2. 2019 Off-plan rental investment: One bedroom apartment in Derby. Completed however couldn't secure a mortgage and insurance is difficult and expensive because the property is in a high risk flood-zone which emerged during the mortgage application process 2 years later. Yes, naive on my part maybe but surely a basic detail an expert adviser would raise.
3. 2018 Loan Note investment with Magna Group: total loss of investment after Magna Group insolvency which you can read about here: https://www.mirror.co.uk/news/uk-news/magna-global-property-scheme-faces-23407866
The "expert advice" you will receive is motivated by broker commissions only in my opinion. Caveat emptor...
