Pity Holroyds have not kept us informed with a potential purchase and offer after promising to do so. Not impressed with their communication skills. Would not use them to sell a property as they seem very disinterested! Very very poor!!!!

Hi Alison, I am sorry to hear you were disappointed in our service.
Unfortunately the property you were interested in was completely taken out of our hands due to the vendors situation which we did explain on numerous occasions. Due to the nature of the vendors situation we were unable to digress details to you and updated you the moment we received an update ourselves.
After many weeks of us advising you we still had no clarity as to whether the property was actually going to be sold, in the end the vendor did decide to take the properties off the market which again, we did advise you.
When looking into the file I can see there are over 15 communication notes from my colleague within a 4 week period regarding the offer you placed, as well as further notes explaining your disappointment that my colleague had not set an automatic reply on her emails when you wanted an update (she was off due to illness that day).
I hope you found a suitable property in the end and wish you all the best.

Customer Complaints Procedure

Holroyds aim to deal with all complaints promptly and in accordance with The Property Ombudsman Consumer Guide. We will acknowledge fairly any shortcomings with openness and integrity and aim to provide the highest standards of service to all our customers. To ensure that your interests are safeguarded, we offer the following:


Making a complaint

If you believe you have a grievance, please write in the first instance to the Branch Manager at the office where your problem originated. Managers’ names and contact details may be found on our website.

If you are dissatisfied with the initial outcome, you can appeal to the Company Directors.

Our response

We will aim to acknowledge receipt of your complaint within 3 working days and provide you with the name of the person who will be dealing with it. After a thorough investigation we aim to respond formally in writing within 15 working days.

If you remain dissatisfied

If you are still not satisfied, Holroyds offers independent mediation between you and the company via The Property Ombudsman for Lettings or Sales.
