We wanted to let a property through David Charles and asked if they would take responsibility for bringing the property to the level ready for letting. They agreed and brought in a builder/decorator they considered competent. Five months after the work was supposed to have been completed there were problems that they were unable to get the builder to resolve. The quality of what had been carried out was poor. We are left out of pocket for the period we should have been receiving rent and for the cost of remedying the remaining defects and bringing the property up the required standard.
