If I could have left zero I would have. Where to begin with this shambles of an agency. Firstly having worked in agency for 14 years, I’m no stranger to the inner workings of an estate agency branch, but the practices of Justin and his team are shockingly below par. We bought our home through Hunters and against my better judgement I decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and use them to sell for me. We asked for the brochure to be edited to include a photo of our studio, this was never done. We did all our own viewings as we didn’t have faith that they could do an effective job of it. We were then being pressured into taking a lower offer than we wanted despite having two people bidding against one another, luckily my partner pushed back and told them no and we got 5K more than we were told was a “strong offer”. The real problem is with the post sales process, or should I say lack of. Katy Huscroft is beyond useless and her waffling, rambling updates meant zero sense, especially to someone who actually knows what they are talking about. In addition, we were never given updates unless we chased for them. In the end I complained to Louise about her and to her credit was the only person who actually did anything of note. Towards the end of the process I ended up just laising directly with the buyer to chivvy the process along (this was also suggested by the agent I was paying to do this job), as for a very simple no chain sale, it took 14 weeks. We completed this Monday just gone and within a 24 hour period I had received three calls, an email and a text message from both Louise and Justin requesting the fee. I did reply to both Louise and Justin letting them know I was on a zoom call all day and I would pay them once I got chance, so it was hardly like I was ignoring them. To top it all off, at 11:36 PM yesterday evening I received a message from Franchise Owner, Justin bluntly saying “Joe, where is my commission?” And it included a screenshot of his internet banking. I have attached a photo of his message to my review. I paid “his commission” within 36 hours of completing and let him know exactly my thoughts of his message. In keeping with their contact mantra, I received no response. I’m not one for writing reviews but Justin’s final message incensed me so much, I felt compelled to leave one. There are some truly great agents out there who work very hard for “their commission”, Hunters Wetherby are not one of them. This is a lesson learned for me, trust your judgement
