*VULNERABLE WOMEN BEWARE*
Having gone through a very nasty break up with a coercive and controlling partner, I called Daniel Brewer to come and value my property. As they had my ex-partner's telephone number from a previous valuation 6 months earlier they believed there was a conflict of interest so they called my ex-partner, told him that I had called for a valuation and asked his 'permission'. This was all done without my knowledge or consent or even clarification that my ex-partner still had any rights over the property. I complained to the director of the company *, who told me that, if I didn't like how they did business, I didn't have to use them. He stated that there was no complaints procedure as he was the director. When I asked for details of the ombudsman he told me to look it up on line and he hung up the phone. The actions of Daniel Brewer were unprofessional and unethical. There was no lawful purpose for their actions and they could have placed me in considerable danger. If you are vulnerable do not use this agent.

I've read some reviews in my time but none quite as unreliable as this. To clarify the complaints procedure was emailed to yourself at 14:24 on the 23/02/2022. Please see below:-
Dear Ms Miss H*****,
Following our conversation please find attached the complaints procedure. I apologise if you do not like the way in which we work but as you can appreciate, we do our upmost to avoid being embroiled in separations as for why we take the stance we do.
As discussed, we were previously contacted by Mr H***** to carry out the valuation and requested to provide you with a copy of the valuation letter by Mr H***** when we carried out the valuation in August 2021. In our eyes there is a conflict of interest as Mr H***** contacted us in the first instance, we would therefore need authority from him to discuss any matters further.
I would suggest you contact independent agents who have no been contacted by Mr **** previously to give up to date valuations.
Once again, I apologise for any inconvenience, but I feel we have acted in fair and professional manner.
Regards
Andy Brewer
