We approached Miller Countrywide in Cornwall to view a property. As expected they asked for our buying position before arranging a viewing, but then shockingly expected us to send all our financial information to them by email before they would allow a viewing to take place. That is just to to view a property, not make an offer, and an expectation that we would send bank statements to them by unsecured email. I refused and noted I considered their information collection to excessive and therefore unlawful under GDPR. The person I was talking to stated that this was their Covid policy and that she would get her office manager to call me back. 1 month later we have still not been contacted by them.
Kindly note that legally, letting agents need to publish information about their tenancy fees, government-approved redress schemes and client money protection schemes on their website and on third party websites (on which agents are listed). For properties to lease/rent in England, agents need to keep this information up to date and precise on allAgents or specify within the property description.

Horrendous!!! £900 and SIX MONTHS UP FRONT. They claimed that was the landlords decision, it wasn't, it was there's. You are paying so much for a company that does nothing at all! Except sits on your money and fails at its job.
