Misleading, terms and condition breaking, AVOID AVOID AVOID leaders!!
There has been many issues during our 6/7 months tenancy through leaders. NEVER AGAIN will we use them or recommend them.
Through our troubles whilst being tenants, we was told they don't help tenants as they work for the landlord, as they pay leaders a fee!!
If could give minus stars I would.
Be very wary! Read your terms and conditions as leaders don't stick by them and then make you feel you're in a hostile position.
Throughout our tenancy with had issues with access to our flat which was shrugged off by the landlord and agency. No understanding or compassion. We learnt to just get on with this.
Fast forward 3 months into the tenancy, we started having issues with hot water in our property. Our hot water would come through for 2 minutes then go freezing cold for 5 minutes then warm up for another 2 minutes then go freezing again. We reported this through the correct Chanel's leaders request. Week and a half later no acknowledgement. 5 and a half weeks down the line still chasing up and the landlord come out to inspect the issue. Next day, boiler broke and no hot water or heating in our property. Leaders did nothing to help, we had to keep chasing for it to be fixed and make own appointments to get it fixed. We had no hot water or heating for 2 and a half week, making the property inhabitable!!!! We had to find temporary accommodation. No check ins from leaders and no compensation in rent. We still had to pay for the weeks the flat was inhabitable!!
Once issue was fixed turned out the boiler had been plumbed in wrong!
Ever since day one we had issues with gas and electric readings. Being all excited we forgot to get readings the day of getting the keys to property.
After speaking to our property manager Teresa, we was given 3 lots of readings, 2 for other properties in the buildings. This messed up our bills completely!
We have entered into an early surrender. Paid £238 early surrender fee. Never got sent any terms and conditions. Employee of leaders came along to overlook viewings. Got told Monday someone had put the holding deposit down and we need to be out by that Thursday/Friday! Me and my flat mate work full time!! Had to request time of work even though we requested a full weekend to move things out. After requesting the terms and conditions, seem to be held back for some unknown reason on leaders end, Teresa informed us we had to be out so soon so there can be inspections and the check out process to be done. With all issues we've had we push ourselves silly and got the keys back to them for the Friday morning. Later that afternoon the terms and conditions of early surrendering turn up in our emails. Only for them to state we should of had the inspection whilst we was present and once everything is agreed, we then hand over the keys!! After raising this issue, Tyler Edwards informed us they were the old terms and they have gone the right way of perusing the right terms and conditions. Never saw the 'new' terms and conditions. Still not signed them either!
So we have had to still pay rent for now a week with no access or keys to the flat to then be told after chasing there is a delay on the new tenants behalf. The changeover day has now been postponed by 4 days, still we have to pay rent!!!
Leaders won't tell us anything about the inspection of our flat, if there is any charges they are going to charge etc till the new tenants have moved in.
We also received an email from leaders that should of been for the new tenants moving into our property, giving them a gesture of good will, a reduced early surrender fee!!!
It seems leaders are very incompetent. Don't communicate and just demand things. Even when they are in error they don't care and still insist we do everything the demand. We was even told if we complained it would void our early surrender!!!
Leaders have got such bad customer service. Never available when called and have to wait for a return call or keep pestering their emails to hopefully get a reply. Don't do things legally. Break their terms and conditions, or in our case send old terms and think about apology is ok?!
Has been a very stressful past 7 months! Will be glad once it's all ended! How leaders can say they do their job by the book is beyond me. Just out for money with no car about tenants.
