In trying to rent out my property with a local agent no tenant was secured for several months, that too when the agents themselves were quite unhelpful and non proactive in every day communications and willing to accept any type of tenant, whilst also trying to unnecessarily reduce the monthly rent. In contrast, after I received a beautiful brochure from Beresfords I contacted them and spoke with lovely Gillian Cooper, after which I received a call swiftly from Ryan Spong, who very quickly put the house on the market and was able to secure a long term rental with the ideal tenants at the right price. His positive manner and enthusiasm were immediately apparent and just wonderful to see, not least as it was a total contrast to the local agents. It makes a huge difference to both landlords and tenants.
Gillian is an absolute pleasure to deal with and is always so helpful and very understanding. As a doctor with irregular shifts helping out at the NHS during this pandemic this has also made a huge difference and I’m very thankful to her in how she deals with myself and the tenants in such a pleasing and efficient manner.
On one of the brochures I received from Beresfords there was a picture of a lady relaxing entitled “Relax…with our stress free service for landlords” and after my experiences since 2008 I thought it was fiction! I can honestly say my son told me the other day when we were speaking about Beresfords that “it is just like the lady on the brochure now since they rented out our house”. I cannot thank Ryan and Gillian enough.
One additional point to note - the other local agents always charged me more than expected for the most basic of maintenance issues (gas, electrical etc), but I’ve noticed with Beresfords that the costs are far more reasonable and inline with market prices (e.g, annual gas safety inspection), which also demonstrates that they look after their landlords. Having rentals since 2008, I can honestly say I’ve never dealt with better lettings agent than Beresfords. I am now moving my other rentals to them.
