I lived in Noble's Kelham Works property and I have never had a worse living experience in my life. It started quite badly when I found out that all the prices appear at first to be really good value, it's only when you read the small print that the pricing is for 2 people (despite the property being a studio flat... go figure).
After moving in to my studio flat, I was told that they were aware of my window being broken (you need to shoulder barge it in order to close it) and it would be fixed immediately, it never was. For the 6 months I lived there, there were a number of problems I needed to report, something that was an incredibly tedious process as there was no maintenance phone number, just an email, evidently this meant getting things fixed took far longer than it should do. Some of the key issues were the window (as previously mentioned), my postbox was broken and was never fixed, the hot water went off on countless occasions, as did all the water 2 or 3 times. Both times these took over a day to fix. I also had water coming through the light in my bathroom, something I reported but I never even got a response to. The lift breaks almost every week, and of course it broke the day I moved out! The worst thing though was that on at least 10 occasions, the fire alarms would go off, rarely because of an actual fire, and it took Noble a number of hours to finally send someone round to silence them. The flat itself was generally fine, even if it felt like living in a cupboard for £620pm, but there were a few issues. There is no extractor fan, so good luck cooking anything with even the slightest aroma. They may tell you you can get a table brought to your room if you want, that was a lie. This segways well into the staff - when you could finally get a hold of them - they were incredibly rude, and pretty liberal with the truth. Examples range from being accused of waking someone up (despite it being 6:30pm) to just a general reluctance to do their job. The staff at the office seem offended that you would ever ask them to do anything - like asking for them to send me the 'introduction pack' that I never received, of course the response I got was that I had received it. I only managed to convince her I hadn't was to send the email back to her with proof.
Living in this flat entirely ruined my mood and made the 6 months living in Sheffield a real slog. Overall, I could not design a worse living experience than what I endured with Noble. Whatever you do, do not live in one of their properties!
