Lost for words at this point.
Over the years I've dealt with some horrific letting agents but Bridgefords are by far the worst.
Me and my flatmate have had numerous problems with them but none more so that when trying to sort out a renewal on our flat. We rang them early with the intention of finding out the next steps to renew our contract but with a new tenant and we were told that the rent was going up which was fine.
It took two weeks, 27 calls and 3 members of staff to contact the landlord to negotiate a price. We are running out of time to sort this and ultimately its not up to us to fill the flat - we can just walk away. Feel sorry for the landlord who has let these people work on behalf of his property.
When we did finally hear, the new rent price had increased and they wanted £950. then immediately came down to £925 then put me on hold again and its now back at £950. Awful negotiations. We asked the employee to justify the random price increase and he got really flustered. We were then put on hold again and we went round in circles for another 10 minutes.
Absolutely bizarre. Don't get me started on the other issues.
I won't go as far as naming names but I've never been involved with a letting agent who communicates this badly. Once you do get in touch with them, you're made to feel like they're doing you a favor for picking up the phone haha. Alt best.
